On this project, the goal was to make the room feel complete from the floor up rather than relying on just one finish element. We installed dark hardwood flooring to ground the space, then tied everything together with wainscoting, casing, crown, and a coffered ceiling that gives the room much more depth and definition. The trim package was a big part of the job because clean lines and even reveals are what make a room like this look sharp when it is done. Once the flooring, millwork, and lighting were all working together, the space took on a much stronger presence and read like a finished formal room instead of just another open area in the house.
